On Sat 9th Aug 1902, Elworth Brass Band was disbanded. Edwin Foden offered to take over, and the Fodens Motor Works Band was born, performing at a contest in Ellesmere on Thu 28th Aug 1902 (competing under the name Elworth). They were runners-up. Source
